OUR PROCESS

This ain't our first rodeo.

We have a focused approach to meet the specialized accounting needs of our clients.

  • 01-reg

    INITIAL PHONE CONSULTATION

We will discuss exactly what is needed, and what other parties might be involved (attorney, CPA, bookkeeper, …).  We will let you know what materials are needed to prepare the accounting covering the specific time period involved and will offer referrals to attorneys, CPAs, or other professional service providers if needed.

  • 02-reg

    SEND US YOUR MATERIALS

Send us all your accounting materials by mail, email, secure file storage, FedEx, messenger, etc.

  • 3-reg

    PREPARATION OF ACCOUNTING

We will work diligently to get everything prepared for your accounting.  The “devil’s in the details” in terms of how long an accounting takes and therefore, it is always very difficult to give an estimate of time to complete. In essence, “it takes as long as it takes,” but we’ll do our best to get through everything as efficiently as possible.

  • 4-reg

    ON-GOING COMMUNICATION & GUIDANCE

We will engage in on-going communications with you regarding open items/questions and any additional materials needed to wrap up the accounting, including guidance when working with financial institutions to secure needed information.

  • 5-reg

    FINALIZE THE DRAFT

We will finalize the “draft” accounting for review by attorney or other “oversight” party (e.g. CPA) if applicable.

  • 6-reg

    SEND THE ACCOUNTING

We will send the complete accounting (Excel & PDF versions) to you and your attorney (if applicable and requested).

  • 7-reg

    REVISE AS NEEDED

We will complete any requested revisions as necessary (revisions requested by e.g. attorney, probate paralegal, etc.).

  • 8-reg

    INVOICING

You will receive the final invoice for the project.

  • 9-reg

    ADDITIONAL REVISIONS

We will complete other revisions as necessary (additional revisions requested by attorney; revisions/corrections requested by the court (e.g. “Examiner’s Notes”)).

  • 10-reg

    RECOMMENDATIONS FOR NEXT TIME

We will make suggestions to you regarding any revisions to your current “systems” to make the process easier next time (aka “Harris Teaching Moments”).
